Bargaining 1 & 2

Part One

The Scooby Gang patrol with the Buffybot, who is evidently malfunctioning in some way, but they are working on keeping the illusion of the slayer alive. Meanwhile, Willow and Tara are living with Dawn in the Summer's house.

The next day Giles is packing at the magic shop as he plans to go to England, leaving the shop in Anya's care. Anya and Giles squabble as Xander looks on, amazed.

That evening the scoobies meet while Spike stays with Dawn, who doesn't really want a babysitter, but Spike takes his promise to take care of Dawn seriosuly. Meanwhile, Buffybot is patrolling, but gets injured, so later Willow has to attempt to fix her again. The meeting between the scoobies is getting tense as they talk about their plans- they are going to bring Buffy back, and now Anya has found the last known Urn of Osiris it is time to go through with the resurrection.

The next day the vampire who injured the Buffybot brags at a demon bar about his encounter and the demons make a road trip on motorbikes to the Hellmouth.

At the same time, Willow has sacrificed a deer for the last spell ingredient, preferring to tell the others she got the 'vino de madre' on the blackmarket. Anya finds a note that will take their minds off things- Giles has left for England. The scoobies head to the airport for a farewell, bringing Giles symbols of American life from the gas station. Grr Argh.

Willow, Xander, Anya and Tara then make the last plans and go to the cemetery. They start a ritual, sitting around Buffy's grave and Willow begins the spell. While performing the spell, Willow's skin is cut and snake comes out of her mouth, but Tara tells them that they can't break the circle.

Spike is watching Dawn and they hear noise outside- the demons have arrived and are destroying Sunnydale. The Buffybot tries to fight them but she is injured and she runs to find Willow, who she is programmed to go to if she is hurt. The bikers follow and they break the Urn of Osiris which breaks the spell. Willow wants to go back to the spell but Xander tells her it is over, and she cries.

The camera angle shifts to below the earth and we see Buffy come back to life in her grave.

Part Two

The gang leave the cemetery but are separated. Xander and Willow stay together and plan to meet Anya and Tara at the magic shop.

While the Buffybot is being beaten up by the demons, Buffy is alive and panicking as she claws her way out of her grave.

Buffy finally makes it the surfaces and sets off through Sunnydale, clearly terrified at all the violence and destruction surrounding her. Tara and Anya make their way back to the Magic Box but they quickly get worried when Xander and Willow aren't there to meet them, so Tara casts a spell to find them.

Buffy is still making her way through the streets and sees the Buffybot as it is destroyed. The Buffybot sees her as well, as do the demons and she runs. By now the scoobies are reunited and planning to fight when they come across Buffy and realise it is the real Buffy and the spell must have worked, but she is frightened and runs again.

Dawn and Spike find broken Buffybot who mentions seeing herself which Dawn intuits means the real Buffy, and so Dawn runs off, much to Spike's worry.

Buffy fights off the demons attacking her friends, and runs again, this time to tower from which she jumped last year. Dawn finds Buffy at the tower and clims up the shaky structure after her big sister.

Buffy remembers being there before and asks if she's in hell, and Dawn says no. The tower gets shakier and Dawn begs Buffy to come with her. They half climb, half fall to the ground and hug, but while Dawn is relieved, Buffy's eyes are blank.
